Professional Credentials

Leslie is a:

Karen Pryor Academy Certified Training Partner (KPA-CTP)

and

AKC Canine Good Citizen Evaluator (AKC-CGCE)

Her continued education and hands-on experience allow her to provide training that is both knowledgeable and practical, while keeping the individual dog and their family at the center of the training process.

Why Canine Campus?

Canine Campus was created because Leslie believes that every dog deserves to be understood as an individual.

There is no single training method that works perfectly for every dog. A puppy learning the basics has different needs than a dog struggling with fear, reactivity, or confidence.

That's why Canine Campus focuses on personalized, one-on-one training.

Training is designed around your dog's personality, your goals, and the challenges you experience in everyday life.

Whether you're welcoming a new puppy into your family, teaching basic obedience, improving leash manners, or working through a more challenging behavior, Leslie works with you to create a training plan that makes sense for your dog.

Our Training Philosophy

At Canine Campus, we believe training should build trust, communication, and confidence.

Leslie uses positive reinforcement and reward-based training, utilizing treats, praise, toys, play, and other rewards to encourage behaviors we want to see.

We believe dogs should be taught what to do, rather than simply being corrected for what they are doing wrong.

Our goal is to make training something that both dogs and their owners can enjoy.

No harsh methods. No one-size-fits-all approach.

Instead, we focus on understanding the reason behind a behavior and teaching dogs alternative skills that can be used in real-life situations.

Training That Fits Real Life

Canine Campus specializes in private, personalized training, allowing Leslie to work directly with you and your dog in the environments where you actually live and spend time together.

Training can take place in your home or at a local area when practicing skills in different environments would benefit your dog.

The goal isn't just for your dog to behave during a training session.

The goal is to help you build skills that continue to work at home, on walks, around guests, and in everyday life.

A Personal Approach to Dog Training

Leslie understands that hiring a dog trainer is about more than finding someone who knows how to train dogs.

You're trusting someone with a member of your family.

That's why Canine Campus focuses on creating a comfortable, supportive experience for both dogs and their owners. Leslie takes the time to listen to your concerns, understand your goals, and explain the training process so that you feel confident continuing the work between sessions.
